It's Food Bank February at Castlegar Toyota!
That’s right - it’s Food Bank February. What does that mean, exactly? It means that we’re donating food to those who need it, giving you discounts, and trying to make a difference in our favourite community of Castlegar.
Filling a Toyota Tacoma with Food
Our goal for Food Bank February is to fill a new Toyota Tacoma’s bed with non-perishable food items. We chose the Tacoma because it will allow us to provide a full bed of food to those in need.
We wanted to make a lofty goal fun, and easy to transport. Once the Tundra is full, we’ll drive on over to the Community Harvest Food Bank to drop off some nourishment. This local establishment makes a difference in more lives than many of us may realize. The CHFB has great volunteers prepare more than just meals, but delicious home-cooked meals made with love.
Parts and Service Special Savings
While Joey from the show Friends says that there’s no such thing as an unselfish act of kindness, we disagree. We’re encouraging our customers to bring in canned goods and other non-perishables as well! If you have a parts or service visit coming up (or would like to schedule one), you can save 10% just by bringing in something to donate!
While we say food bank February, we have also received donations of toys, pet food, gifts, and more. We’ll deliver them all - while you save your service dollars!
Castlegar Toyota in the Community
We truly believe in sharing our good fortune. While Toyota is a big brand, we want to take care of our small community. That’s why we support not just the food bank, but other fun causes. In 2017 alone, for our Sweet 16 birthday year, we ran tons of giveaways for our fans, hosted a pizza party for the end of the school year at Twin Rivers Elementary School, filled the Tacoma over the holidays, and more. If you have a cause that you believe in, feel free to share it with us! While we can’t guarantee all donations, we’re always eager to learn about new causes.
