Toyota's vehicles have always been leaders in reliability, fuel efficiency, safety, and value. Whether you’re cruising the highway during long commutes to and from the city, towing hefty loads on the job site, or exploring the road less travelled, there’s a Toyota for you! Each of the exciting models below has been unveiled by Toyota in anticipation of the upcoming fall season, offering a combination of style, versatility, and performance unmatched by their competitors. If you’re unsure about which Toyota could be right for you, read on to explore some of the exciting upgrades Toyota’s been busy with over the past year and what the reviewers are saying about them!
For those of you who’ve been waiting patiently for an upgrade to the Toyota Tundra, you’ll be happy to know a total re-work is coming for 2022! The full-sized pickup is expected to get a complete redesign, including:
“We're expecting a redesigned third-generation Tundra for 2022, complete with a new platform, new engines, and new infotainment tech. It will compete in the full-size truck segment alongside the Ram 1500, Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, and Nissan Titan.”
The 2022 Tacoma TRD Pro is fully equipped to handle any off-roading adventure, using parts designed and tested by the Toyota Racing Development team. This year the mid-sized pickup is taking it up a notch with upgrades like:
“A new exclusive colour might be the head-turner, but the Tacoma TRD Pro has always made off-road capability an important part of the equation. There's good news on that front, too, as the 2022 gets a moderate but important lift and the suspension geometry to support it.”
You already know the 4Runner to be one of the most versatile SUVs on the market, going from safe to sporty in 0.3 seconds. For 2022, we’ll see the 4Runner lineup expand with the addition of the TRD Sport, offering an exceptional blend of performance and style. Some noteworthy features to look for include:
“The 4Runner TRD Sport looks a lot like the more luxurious Limited model, and it rides on the same 20-inch wheels but with dark grey accents. They're equipped with all-season tires. It'll slot in just over the SR5 base model in the 4Runner's lineup, and it's available with either rear- or four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer case just like the Limited.”

Toyota's bestseller continues to be offered in gas, hybrid, and the new plug-in Prime hybrid powertrain introduced last year. The Prime is still the most potent RAV4 with a 302-hp, 2.5-litre inline-4 engine, a motor on each axle for all-wheel drive, and an EPA-estimated 42 miles of electric range. While it was introduced with a limited supply last year, in 2022, it’s expected to increase its availability to keep up with the growing demand!
“The 2022 Toyota RAV4 Prime is a plug-in hybrid compact crossover SUV. It takes the excellent RAV4 and adds a gas/electric powertrain that is able to travel up to 42 miles on electricity alone before the gas engine kicks in and returns 38 combined MPG. Efficiency has always been a strong suit of the RAV4, and the RAV4 Prime is the most efficient example yet.”
